I met him at Dunedin Stadium at Grant Field in Dunedin, Florida in 1994, when the Philadelphia Phillies came to play the Toronto Blue Jays in a spring training game.
He nearly didn't sign for me. He was exiting the clubhouse on his way to the team bus. I was standing on the opposite side of the fence. When I called out to him asking for an autograph, he held up his hands, each with a canned soda, and said "can't, my hands are full." I quickly responded, "I'll hold them for you." He stopped and laughed and then said "I'm only signing for you."
Lenny signed a 1993 Upper Deck card #69.
