I met him at an autograph signing at a Tampa Bay Rays game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2017.
Before the game, the Rays honored their 2017 Minor League award winners. Miles was the recipient of the Erik Walker Community Champion Award, an award that recognizes one Rays Minor League player who exemplifies teamwork, sportsmanship, and community involvement. Attributes exhibited by Rays Minor League pitcher Erik Walker, who died tragically in October 2006 in a canoeing accident.
Miles signed a 2016 Hudson Valley Renegades Team Set card.
