I met him at Spectrum Field, the Philadelphia Phillies spring training home in Clearwater, Florida in 2018.
I told Hoby that we shared a birthday. He replied "January 13th?" then wished me a happy belated birthday, which was kind of funny to hear a month and 2 days after the fact. Nonetheless, I wished him a happy belated birthday back to him.
