I met him at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2018, when the Baltimore Orioles came to play the Tampa Bay Rays.
He ended up making his Major League debut during this game. Unfortunately, it was a blowout by the 7th inning when he was introduced. The Orioles were down 11-2 and Luis didn't help matters. He pitched 0.2 innings giving up 3 earned runs off of 3 hits and 2 walks and a wild pitch. One of those 3 hits was Andrew Velazquez's first Major League hit.
