Nick Belmonte

I met him at the Florida Minor League Camp at Baseball City in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2019.
Nick, who runs this camp, was standing in the dugout underneath the shade so that he could check his phone. When he was done, he started to go back onto the field to join the rest of his coaches. I called for him to ask for an autograph. He comes over and is surprised that I had a card of his. He then says, "wait, you have to ask me in front of the coaches," then he hands me my unsigned card back and walks back onto the field. I yell to him as he's around his staff and he motions for me to walk onto the field. So, here I am, walking past players warming up for the game, approaching the coaching staff with card and Sharpie in hand. I felt awkward but it seemed to make Mr. Belmonte's day as he was proudly showing the card to his staff.

A day earlier I met Chad Ashton and discovered that Tom Soehn was mistakenly pictured on Chad's card. So, after Tom signed the above card, I asked if he'd add his signature to Chad's error card.

Bob Skinner

In January 2019 I found a great deal on eBay for 2 sealed boxes (AA & AAA) of 1991 Line Drive Minor League cards. I started to open the AAA packs first. Shortly into opening those packs, I pulled a card of Bob Skinner. I had never had a card of him, and I knew that he was a great signer thru the mail, plus, his son Joel had just been recently named the Minnesota Twins AAA manager, so I knew I'd have a chance at meeting him that spring. So, I decided to go ahead and see if I could get the father first by mailing him a card and then hoped that his son travels to my area when the Twins played in Clearwater.

Sadly, I had injured myself just days before spring training games had begun and missed 3 weeks' worth of games, including my chance of seeing Joel.

Seven days later my card came back signed.

Earl Johnson

I was randomly going through my box of cards and stumbled across this one of Earl Johnson. I always liked this card and thought it would look great if it were signed, so I decided to look online to see if I could find an address to send it to. I discovered that he was a lawyer in Michigan.
So, three days after Christmas 2018, I sent Mr. Johnson an autograph request through the mail to the law firm where he worked.

Ten days later my card came back signed. He was also nice enough to include a note back.

Brooks Robinson

For several months, my brother would ask when I was going to send an autograph request to Hall of Famer, Brooks Robinson. I kept putting it off for various reasons. On Christmas Day 2018, my brother hands me his gift to me, 2 stamped envelopes, one is addressed to Brooks Robinson, and the other addressed to me. He also gave me a $5 dollar bill to cover Brooks' autograph fee.
So, two days after Christmas 2018, I sent Mr. Robinson an autograph request through the mail.

Eleven days later my card came back signed.
