I hate being greedy when it comes to collecting autographs. I'm very happy with just having one and then never asking again. In the early 90's, the Blue Jays were such a good team and so was their second baseman, Roberto Alomar. He was on the cover of a few Beckett's and I just wanted them all signed. Plus, Robbie was an extremely generous autograph signer, so, it was rather easy to get anything signed by him.
I first met him at a spring training game at Dunedin Stadium at Grant Field in Dunedin, Florida in 1992.
Roberto signed a 1991 Upper Deck card #83F. Over the next few spring training seasons, I was also able to have him sign a few Beckett Baseball Card Monthly issues. Those were the June 1992, October 1992, and August 1993 issues.
