Nolan Lane

My dad's birthday is June 14th. He passed away on August 31, 2020. For his first birthday without him,  I came up with another TTM challenge for myself. This one I called "Dad TTM Project." On June 8, 2021, six days before his birthday, I sent birthday cards to eleven baseball players who also shared his birthday.

Here is the card that I sent to Nolan Lane.

Twenty days later my card came back signed.

Nolan signed a 1991 Line Drive Pre-Rookie AA card #87.

Ty Kovach

On September 10, 2020, I decided to go through these 2 alphabetical boxes of baseball cards and pull random cards out. I would then look to see if I could find a mailing address online to send a card to.

I ended up writing and mailing out 11 letters that day. All addresses that I looked up myself, not listed on an autograph database, as far as I could tell.

I found what looked to be a legitimate address for Mr. Kovach, so I wrote him a letter and included my card.

Eleven days later my card came back signed. He also included a note back.

Will George

I met him at a spring training game at Spectrum Field in Clearwater, Florida in 2019, where he was scouting a game between the Toronto Blue Jays and Philadelphia Phillies.

Paul Byrd

I met him at Carpenter Complex, the Philadelphia Phillies spring training facility in Clearwater, Florida in 2001.

Dave Mlicki

I met him at a Florida Instructional League game at Jack Russell Memorial Stadium in Clearwater, Florida in 1994, when the Cleveland Indians came to play the Philadelphia Phillies.

Dave signed a 1993 Classic Best Gold card #6.

Omar Ramirez

I met him at Dunedin Stadium at Grant Field in Dunedin, Florida in 1994, when the Cleveland Indians came to play the Toronto Blue Jays in a spring training game.
