Garrett Long

In February of 2021, I decided to seek out an address for Garrett Long. I discovered that he was a lawyer in Illinois, so I sent him my card and the following letter.

21 days later my card came back signed.

Garrett signed a 1996 Fleer Excel card #219.

Shane Baz

I met him at a Tampa Bay Rays game at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida in 2018.

On the final Friday of the regular season, the Tampa Bay Rays invite their instructional league squad, minor league award winners, and minor league coaches/staff to take in a Major League game. I had looked up the Rays instructional league roster prior to the game and saw that Shane was listed, so I knew to bring his card.

When I spotted him and asked for his signature, he told me this was his first time signing an autograph at a big league stadium.
I hope he sees this and remembers that moment.
